Reject The Rule Change Requested By Redmont​

1 - About this Act
(1) This Act
(a) may be cited as the ‘The Rule Change Rejection Act’.
(b) may be numbered as P.B.##-### (to be assigned by the Office of the Speaker).
(c) shall be enacted immediately upon receiving assent from His Majesty the King.
(d) has been authored by Member of Parliament hello1341
(e) has been co-sponsored by Prime Minister McBrittle419
2 - Rules Change Rejection
(1) The following rule change is rejected
(a) Participating in, advertising, promoting, or facilitating gambling services is prohibited.
This prohibition does not apply to player-run arcade or casino games games of skill, defined as: a gambling activity in which the outcome is determined predominantly by the knowledge, judgment, strategy, or skill of the participants, notwithstanding that chance may play an incidental role, or activities conducted exclusively in-game or on Discord and not involving real-world currency or external gambling services.

The New Player Gambling Stoppage Act​


Parliament notes:
(1) Redmont wants an overly broad gambling ban, we disagree and decide to stop new players from gambling.

Based on this, Parliament decides:
(1) To attempt to make a rule change stopping new players from gambling.

To fulfil this, Parliament projects the following expenses:
(1) None.

Further, Parliament projects the following administrative efforts:
(1) None.

To implement the above, Parliament passes:

2 - Rules Change Rejection
(1) The following rule change is rejected
(a) Participating in, advertising, promoting, or facilitating gambling services is prohibited.

3 - Rules Change
(1) Section 6. Fair Play of the Server Rules shall be amended as follows:
(a) Participating in, advertising, promoting, or facilitating gambling services is prohibited. This prohibition does not apply to player-run arcade or casino games activities, when such activities are engaged in by players with over 6 hours of total playtime on both democracycraft and statecraft combined, conducted exclusively in-game or on Discord and not involving real-world currency or external gambling services. Games that are mostly skill (as determined by staff) will also be permitted.

Should the associated motion to amend pass, The New Player Gambling Stoppage Act shall be amended in the manner described below:
