INVESTIGATOR RESPONSIBILITIES​

Investigators are mainly responsible for investigating cases assigned to them by the ABI Director.

INVESTIGATIVE PROCEDURE​

1. Once assigned to an Investigation read through the purpose of the investigation and understand that all investigations are considered as “SECRET” information.​
  • Sharing any information concerning an investigation minor or otherwise may result in termination.
  • Refer to the Criminal Code Act to view all summary and indictable offense(s) you may be investigating

2. When questioning a suspect, victim, witness, or any involved parties you must notify these parties of their rights:​
  • Their right to remain silent and against self-incrimination.
  • Their right to legal representation; and
  • The suspected offense(s)

3. Request warrants in your Investigation channel. You may request warrants regarding access to discord servers, in game plots, company financial logs, classified information.​
  • You must request these warrants from your current ABI Director, if there is no ABI Director you may request it from the current Minister of justice or justice secretaries.
    • The search warrants must have a valid reason such as probable cause
    • Not all warrants will be approved

4. Once you have reviewed all the available information, determine if a summary or indictable offense(s) had been Confirmed, Probable, Unsubstantiated, or False.​
  • Definitions:
    • Confirmed: Evidence establishes that the offense(s) occurred.
    • Probable: Evidence strongly suggests the offense(s) occurred but additional evidence may be required.
    • Unsubstantiated: Available evidence does not establish that the offense(s) occurred.
    • False: Evidence establishes that the allegation did not occur.

5. Regardless of a summary or indictable offense(s) occurring, notify the ABI Director for a review of your investigation. The ABI Director will then determine if the investigation is complete or not and issue a payment for your investigative work.​

INVESTIGATION STRUCTURE AND ORGANIZATION​

  1. Within the MOJ discord when assigned to an investigation you will be given:
  • Access to a ticket regarding an investigation you have been assigned to, as well as its investigation or case number.
  • This thread will be where you will have discussions regarding the investigation.
  • This thread will be used to store evidence such as screenshots in discord, screenshots of interrogations, in game logs, and anything relevant to the investigation.
  • Access to an interrogation ticket where all parties being investigated can be questioned
  • This thread will be used for questioning, and everything stated within the ticket must be saved as evidence in the investigation ticket.

CONFLICT OF INTEREST​

  1. Disclose any and all minor or major conflicts of interest to the ABI Director, Solicitor General, Minister of Justice.
  • Note the reason of the COI and recuse yourself from the investigation
