Why do you want this position?: I want this position because I have witnessed the pitfalls of poor compliance and confusing policies and wish to live and work in an Alexandria where there is clarity and where commerce is properly facilitated. I enjoy the work personally, and if chosen, I hope that I will be able to make a lasting positive impact on Alexandria's economy.
What skills or experience do you have that could be useful in this position?: I was the Secretary of Commerce for four terms under three Presidents, I am currently studying Economics and Pre-Law in college in real life, and I have been a member of the CRB in the past. In all of these capacities, I think that I have highlighted the importance and need for impartial, friendly, and firm compliance organizations in any commercial or financial industry to protect consumers and ultimately protect the industry from itself.
