Payment Policy

This policy sets out how members of the Ministry of Welfare may be paid for their work.​

OVERVIEW
Payment in the Ministry of Welfare is issued by request only.

The Ministry operates on a weekly payment period, with each week commencing on Monday at midnight. For the purposes of this policy, the Ministry uses UTC+00:00 as its time zone.

The payments available for each role are set out in the schedules for each Office of the Ministry attached this policy.

PAYMENT REQUESTS
All payment requests MUST be submitted in the〔〕payment-desk forum in the Ministry of Welfare Discord Server. Requests MUST be properly filed according to the post guidelines and MUST include any evidence needed to verify the work being claimed.

Payment requests are reviewed at the start of each week. To be considered during weekly review, a request MUST be filed before the end of the previous week.

Where a request is missing information, filed incorrectly, or cannot be verified, approval may be delayed beyond the Monday review, or the request may be rejected outright.

Where a payment request is updated after the submission deadline, the Minister and relevant Secretary MUST be pinged in the thread to make sure the update is seen.

Once a payment request is approved, payment will normally be issued within forty-eight (48) hours.

The Payment Policy is updated and enforced at the discretion of the Minister. Any doubts, concerns or requests may be raised directly with the Minister or Secretaries.

MINISTER'S OFFICE​

MINISTER
The Minister is entitled to their statutory pay.

SECRETARIES
The Secretaries of the Ministry are entitled to a weekly stipend of £200.​

EDUCATUION OFFICE​

RESEARCHERS
Researchers are paid on a task-based scheme for the successful completion of set tasks.

The Lead Researcher may also claim a weekly stipend of £50 for contributions towards the management of the Research Team.​

CULTURE OFFICE​

LIBRARIANS
Librarians are paid based on their contributions to the Library (Wiki). Pay is earned through a combination of a byte-rate and an approved edit pay-out.

The current byte-rate is £0.05 per byte added.

The approved edit pay-out is dependent on the scope of the edit made, determined by the Secretary when reviewing the pay request, or when setting a bounty for an Office requested edit.​

Pay for a single edit is capped at double the approved edit pay-out.

CURATORS
Curators are paid for adding and correcting information in exhibits.​

PHYSICIANS
Physicians are paid a flat rate for each time they attend to a patient and treat their ailments. This rate is set at £15.​
