1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act
(a) may be cited as the ‘Heraldry Act’.
(b) This Act may be numbered as P.B.01-005.
(c) This Act shall come into force upon Royal Assent.

2 - Purpose
(1) To create a legislative framework for the government to create and foster roleplay groups.
(2) To serve as the jumping-off point for in-game faction and house roleplay.
3 - Heraldry
(1) Tinctures: arms may use the following colours on any element: azure, gules, purpure, sable, vert, murrey, sanguine, and tenne.
(a) No arms except those of the Royal House may display Purpure.
(b) No arms except those whose Suzerain is knighted or ennobled may display a fur.
(2) Partitions: arms may only use one of the following: plain, per fess, per pale, per bend, per bend sinister, per saltire, quartered, quarterly, tierced per fess, tierced per pall, berry, paly, bendy, or bendy sinister.
(3) Mantling: arms may only use mantling if its Suzerain has held office as Member of Parliament, and may only display mantling in or, argent, or both, if its Suzerain has held office in Cabinet.
(4) Helm: Arms may only use a helm if its Suzerain has been knighted, ennobled, has been a detective for greater than two weeks, or represented the Crown in court.
(5) Charge: real or fictional animalia, weaponry, or fruits of agriculture.
(6) No identical arms may be issued.
(7) No arms shall contain any element not provided for by this Act.
(8) Arms shall only be issued for official houses.
4 - Houses
(1) Houses must maintain three members to be made official and granted arms and charter.
(2) Each house shall have a name no greater than two words in length preceding “House”.
(3) Houses shall be led by a single player who shall bear the title "Suzerain".
(4) The Suzerain may adopt or disown members into or out from the house.
(5) Houses must meet such activity requirements as set out by rule or law.
(6) Notwithstanding any other part of this Act, there shall always be a Royal House.
(a) The Suzerain of the Royal House shall be the reigning Monarch.
(b) The Royal House may style itself as the Royal Household, Court, or any such similar name.
5 - The Ministry of Internal Affairs shall be responsible for everything set forth in this Act regarding the administration of houses and heraldry.
6 - Additional Considerations
(1) If any provision of this Act is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
(2) All powers granted in this act shall be exercised in a fair manner.
