PARLIAMENT VOTING: 6-0-0
1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as ‘Playtime Requirements Easement Act’ or ‘EasyReqs-Act’.
(2) This Act may be numbered P.B.01-046.
(3) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon receiving assent from His Majesty the King.
(4) This Act has been authored by Members of Parliament ItsStormcraft and Capt11543.
(5)This Act has been co-sponsored by Members of Parliament ConsequencesInc and zLost.
2 - Reasons
(1) Numerous Players have raised concern over the current requirements.
(2) After reevaluating, we recognise these concerns and wish to amend playtime requirements, given that 4 hours of playtime in 30 days is easier to obtain, and more reasonable on our less established server.
3 - Amendments to the Alexandrian Electoral Act
(1) §15(1)(a) shall be amended in the following manner:
“Have at least 6 four hours (4h) of active playtime in the past 30 days (30d).”
(2) §4(6)(b) shall be amended in the following manner:
“6 Four hours (4h) of active playtime in the past 30 days (30d).”
4 - Amendments to the Legislative Branch Act
(1) The Legislative Branch Act shall be amended by inserting the below section 20 - Activity Requirements after section 19 - Oath of Office.
(a) The new section shall only take effect following the next Parliamentary general election.
“20 - Activity Requirements
(1) In order to maintain their seat in Parliament, all Members must maintain the same amount of playtime required to become a candidate under the Alexandrian Electoral Act.
(2) If a Member is found to be in violation of this, the Speakership shall post a notice on the floor.
(a) The Member in violation shall have seventy-two hours (72h) to remedy their playtime.
(b) If the Member fails to do so and was elected as part of a Political Party, their party may now file a Motion of Replacement within forty-eight hours (48h). If this motion is successful, the member in question shall be removed and immediately replaced with the nominee for replacement.
(i) If the Member fails to do so and was elected as an Independent, they shall be removed and a special election shall be called.
(3) If no such Motion has been filed or the Motion failed, and the Member was not elected as an Independent, the Speakership shall open voting on a Motion of Removal, which shall require a supermajority to succeed.”
