Amend the Pay Scale Act
To Establish a Salary for the Deputy Speaker of Parliament​

1 - Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as ‘Deputy Speaker Payroll Act’ or ‘DepSpeakPay-Act’.
(2) This Act may be numbered as P.B.01-047.
(3) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage unless specified otherwise in this Act.
(4) This Act has been authored by MP ItsStormcraft.
(5) This Act has been co-sponsored by MP Capt11543.

2 - Reasons
(1) Because the Deputy Speaker also deserves to get paid.

3 - Amendments to the Pay Scale Act
(1) Amend §3(4) of the Pay Scale Act as follows:

"Changes to Member of Parliament, Minister, or Speaker, or Deputy Speaker salaries will take effect following the next general election."​

(2) Insert the following secondary subsection (a) under §5(2) and renumber the following secondary subsections appropriately:

“Deputy Speaker of Parliament;”​

4 - Provisional Regulations
(1) The Deputy Speaker salary shall be exempt from §3(4) for the sole-purpose to be initially set to Level 2 upon the enactment of this Act.

AMENDMENT 01
The Deputy Speaker Payroll Act shall be amended as follows:
(1) §1(3) shall be amended as follows:

"This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage or after the SpeakR-Act is assented, whatever occurs later unless specified otherwise in this Act."​

(2) A subsection (1) shall be inserted in §3. The subsequent subsection shall be renumbered accordingly:

"Amend §3(4) of the Pay Scale Act as follows:​

"Changes to Member of Parliament, Minister, or Speaker, or Deputy Speaker salaries will take effect following the next general election.""​

(3) A new section 4 - Provisional Regulations shall be amended to the Deputy Speaker Payroll Act:

"(1) The Deputy Speaker salary shall be exempt from §3(4) for the sole-purpose to be initially set to Level 2 upon the enactment of this Act."​
