Letters Patent of Recognition and Grant of Arms

The House of Oast​

To all unto whom these Presents shall come, the Chief Herald of the Most Noble Order of Arms sends greeting.

Whereas AETHER1AN has petitioned unto the Order for the recognition of a House under the name and style of the House of Oast;

And whereas the Order has taken notice of the honourable offices held by members of the said House, their service in Parliament and government, and the place of the said House within the customs and early history of Alexandria;

And whereas, for that cause, it is judged meet that the said House be recognised, armed, and entered upon the Heraldic Register;

Know therefore that by the authority committed to the Order of Arms, we do recognise, arm, and record the House of Oast as a House Most Noble of the Realm, and do name SoggehToast as the first recorded Head thereof.

And for the greater honour and distinction of the said House, we do grant and assign unto it these Arms and Achievement:

Or, a chevron Sable; and for the Crest, upon a helm befitting their station mantled Sable doubled Or, upon a wreath Or and Sable, a cubit arm habited Sable holding a piece of toast proper; and for a Motto, the words “AB IMO SUSPIRARE”.​

The said Achievement shall be borne in full by the Head of the House, provided always that the full Achievement remains proper to the Head thereof, and the Arms displayed by the members thereof without mark of difference, as is the custom of said House.

The name, arms, and headship of the House shall descend to the Heir Apparent, as selected by the Head of the House, as is the custom of said House, upon the affirmation of the Order of Arms.

In witness whereof these Letters are entered upon the Heraldic Register and given under the seal of the Order this Third day of June, in the Year Two Thousand and Twenty-Six, being the Second Year of the Realm.
