OPENING OF THE 2ND PARLIAMENT

Welcome everyone to the 2nd Parliament of Alexandria! Since I'm online now and anxious to get to work, I'm taking the liberty of kicking things off, here's hoping the boss is cool with it

We've got two immediate orders of business:
1. Swearing-In Ceremony. This is something we do for fun to celebrate the new Parliament. I will open a thread and take the oath, just copy it and replace my username with yours.
2. Speaker Election. This is the important one. All Members of Parliament will have 24 hours to nominate themselves or someone else (doesn't even have to be an MP). After the 24 hours are up, we will vote on the nominees, or if there's only one nominee then I guess they just become Speaker on the spot. I'll make another thread below for nominations.
