#002: Motion to Renew the Standing Orders
Parliament considered a motion to renew the Standing Orders of Parliament.

I , Rubilubi55, move to reinforce the 2nd Standing Orders of the 1st Parliament.

Section 1, Subsection 2 of the "not in effect" standing orders states:
(1) These Standing Orders shall be enforced until the election of the next Speaker of Parliament.

This means we do currently not have any standing orders in effect, that should be changed so we can continue with the parliamentary work.

Parliament considered a motion to appoint Juniperfig, the former High Chancellor, to the Chancery of the Kingdom of Alexandria.

Mr. Speaker,

The Chancery has been paralyzed for quite some time. We can't delay in appointing a new Chancellor any further. Fortunately, I have identified a candidate. Former High Chancellor juniperfig has agreed to take a seat on the Chancery on a temporary basis, until judiciary reforms proposed by the sitting High Chancellor are implemented.

Accordingly, I present the nomination of juniperfig to the Chancery, and urge my honorable colleagues to swiftly confirm her.

#004: Official Statement
Parliament passed an Official Statement regarding delegation of authority over Outback resets from Staff to the government of Alexandria.

Recently, a petition calling on the government to oppose a planned Outback reset achieved popular support. Because of that, Staff agreed to cancel the reset and delegate broad authority over the timing of Outback resets to the government.

Parliament intends to regulate the government's authority over Outback resets by law. The exact terms of this legislation are still in the works, but Parliament intends to include a lengthy notice requirement for each reset, and a "cooldown" period after each reset, during which the government may not schedule another one.

#005: Official Statement
Parliament passed an Official Statement regarding attacks against Alexandrian dignitaries on an official visit to Redmont.

Parliament condemns the actions of the two terrorists, xtub12345 and a currently unknown individual, who attacked the Alexandrian delegation visiting Redmont on October 4th. These attackers employed violent means to sabotage our fledgling relationship with Redmont. We hope that our sister nation will join us in investigating the matter, and ensure that no such attacks may occur in the future.

Parliament held a hearing into then-Magistrate AsexualDinosaur, following the announcement of his nomination by the Prime Minister to the position of High Chancellor.

Mr. Speaker, following the resignation of former High Chancellor Smallfries, it is my duty to nominate a new High Chancellor.

To that end, I wish to put forward AsexualDinosaur. He is an experienced Magistrate, who has been with the Alexandrian judiciary certainly for as long as I have been around. I'm confident that his attention to detail and legal reasoning will be major assets to the nation's Courts. I know he will have big shoes to fill, but I know just as well that he is up to the task.

Mr. Speaker, before voting on the nomination itself, I would like to first request permission from my honorable colleagues to convene a hearing into the nominee.
