Journal of the 4th Parliament

#059: Motion to Modify Committee
Parliament considered a motion to modify the terms of the Constitutional Convention Committee.

Date: April 14, 2026
Author: ItsStormcraft
Floor Speech:
Mr. Speaker,
I humbly seek permission from this Chamber for the Speakership to assume the Chair of the Constitutional Convention Committee. After the former Chair of the Committee resigned, nominations were opened for this position one week ago with the nomination period being supposed to last only 48h. There still is not a single declaration. Witnessing this lack of interest, it seems only reasonable to move chairing the Committee under the purview of the Speakership.

#061: Motion to Convene Hearing
Parliament considered a motion to open a hearing into the Ministry of Trade and Finance regarding commodities pricing.

Date: April 15, 2026
Author: Thritystone
Floor Speech:
I move that Parliament open a Hearing into the present Commodities pricing crisis, under Parliament's constitutional responsibilities for oversight.
Purpose: Recent economic events have drastically altered the price dynamics of key commodities, the same commodities for which the MOTF is now tendering a massive procurement order.. Key to our understanding of Alexandria's economy, is transparency in the budget allocation process. Parliament, not the Executive has the power of the purse. This major procurement is also being conducted in private, tickets where only the MOTF has access to see bids. Not only could this unfairly prejudice bidders in the process, it also opens the doors to bias, favoritism, and any number of arbitrary abuses of power. Being held to account, and submitting to Parliamentary oversight is not indicative of any wrong doing, far from it, it would help strengthen MOTF's case. Democracy does not operate in secrets, especially when decisions about major financial decisions like procurements are closed. The public, and parliament, has a right to know how the MOTF's actions will impact their business, and our country's economic future.
Respfully submitted, MP Thritystone

#063: Motion to Convene Hearing
Parliament considered a motion to convene a hearing into the operations of the Judiciary.

Date: April 20, 2026
Author: ConsequencesInc
Floor Speech:
Mr. Speaker,
I move that our body opens a hearing into the current state of the Judiciary. While the wheels of justice do turn slowly, one cannot help but notice that the Judiciary's wheels seem rusted in place and in need of oiling. With that in mind, I think it is pertinent that Parliament summons all current sitting Magistrates and Chancellors to answer questions about the mysterious judiciary veil and how Parliament can support the judiciary, either though legistlation or other means.

#065: Motion to Invoke Statutory Authority
Parliament considered a motion to invoke its statutory authority to trigger a full reset of the Outback.

Date: April 24, 2026
Author: McBrittle419
Floor Speech:
Mr. Speaker,
I move to trigger a reset to the Outback, Nether, and End which shall occur 14 days following the passage of this motion. It has almost been an entire year since the last reset. It is beyond time for this to happen. If we wait much longer, we are in fear of the powers above (server ownership) potentially taking back authority on reset timelines.
Authorizing Statute: A.P. 03-007 | Resets Act §2(1)
(1) Parliament shall have the authority to schedule resets of the entire Outback by simple majority vote.

#066: Motion to Sustain the Ruling of the Chair
Parliament considered a motion to sustain a ruling by the Chair in the Parliamentary hearing into the Judiciary convened through #063.

Date: April 27, 2026
Author: MrRoyaltys
Floor Speech:
Mr. Speaker based on the following disagreement you and I have had from the following:

IN THE HEARING OF THE JUDICIARY

The Speaker of Parliament ordered the Honourable Member of Parliament MrRoyaltys to strike the statements of the repetitive word "Judiciary." as the Honourable Speaker deemed it "out-of-turn". The Honourable Member of Parliament MrRoyaltys has respectfully declined the order based on the grounds that nowhere in the Standing Orders explicitly defines such a remark as "out-of-turn" or disruptive to hearing procedures and that the intention was to simply "keep the discussion of the hearing moving".

Accordingly, I move that this House decide whether the ruling of the Speaker shall be sustained. And I will formally abide by the decision.
