Amend the Government Organisation Act
To Require Members of Parliament to Maintain Playtime Standards​

1 — Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act may be cited as 'Maintain Playtime Act'.
(2) This Act may be numbered P.B. 04-009.
(3) This Act shall be enacted immediately upon its signage.
(4) This Act has been authored by PM McBrittle419.
(5) This Act has been co-sponsored by MP ConsequencesInc.

2 — Amendments to the Government Organisation Act

(1) Amend §6 to read as follows:

“6 - Parliament
[...]

(4) Members of Parliament shall be required to maintain 6 hours of in-game playtime logged within the last 30 days.
(a) The Speaker of Parliament may at any time perform playtime checks on current Members of Parliament.
(b) Members of Parliament may at any time motion to request that a fellow Member’s playtime be checked by the Speaker of Parliament.
(c) If a Member of Parliament does not meet minimum in-game playtime requirements, the following steps are taken:
(i) The Speaker of Parliament shall issue an official warning to the Member of Parliament.
(ii) The offending Member of Parliament shall be given one week to either meet the minimum required in-game playtime or issue a formal appeal to the Speaker of Parliament that an extension of an additional week be given to meet said requirement. If the offending Member of Parliament is under a leave of absence at the time the warning is issued, up to a two week extension may be granted at the discretion of the Speaker.

(iii) If the Member of Parliament is unable to meet the in-game playtime requirement by the deadline given, the Speaker of Parliament shall trigger a Motion to Impeach which shall follow standard procedures.

Parliament notes:
(1) To promote activity and progress, this Act aims to hold the Members of Parliament accountable for their level of activity within the StateCraft server.

Based on this, Parliament decides:
(1) To provide for the requirement to maintain a minimum amount of in-game playtime of it’s Members of Parliament.

To fulfil this, Parliament projects the following expenses:
(1) None.

Further, Parliament projects the following administrative efforts:
(1) The Speaker of Parliament will complete playtime checks on Members of Parliament as outlined in this bill.

To implement the above, Parliament passes:
