Fix the Constitution​

1 — Short Title and Enactment
(1) This Act
(a) may be cited as ‘Constitution Fixes Act (I)’ or "CFA.I"​
(b) may be numbered as P.B. 04-035.​
(c) shall be enacted upon being publicly assented.​
(d) has been authored by Minister of Foreign Affairs PhillinDeBlanc.​
(e) has been co-sponsored by Minster of Trade and Finance BubbaNak.​

2 — The following amendments shall be made to the Constitution of Alexandria
(1) Article 22 — Rights and Freedoms shall be amended as follows:

"All Alexandrian citizens are gauranteed:
1. Every citizen has The right to run for and hold elected offices. Parliament may by law establish reasonable activity requirements for running in elections and maintaining elected offices.
2. Every citizen has The right to vote in elections and referendums via a secret ballot. Parliament may by law establish reasonable activity requirements for achieving and maintaining eligibility to vote.
3. Every citizen has the right to secret ballot in elections and referendums
All players are gauranteed:
3. The right to become a citizen of Alexandria (given they meet reasonable requirements set forth in law).
4. Every player has The right to appeal a charge made against them.
5. No player can be made to produce self-incriminating evidence in a court of law, parliamentary hearing, subpoena, or impeachment trial. The right to remain silent and against self-incrimination. No player shall be compelled to provide testimony that could reasonably incriminate them in any judicial, parliamentary, or impeachment proceeding. No player shall be penalized for invoking either right, nor shall any inference of guilt be made against them.
6. Every player has Freedom of political communication, press, and media.
7. Every player has The right to a speedy and fair trial presided over by an impartial Judicial Officer. and to be informed of the nature of the charges brought against them
8. Every player has The right to peacefully assemble.
9. Every player has Freedom of association.
10. Every player is Equality before and under the law.
11. Every player has The right to life, liberty, and security of the person and the right not to be deprived thereof.
12. Every player has The right to be secure against unreasonable search and seizure.
13. Every player has The right to be informed of the nature and reason for a any subpoena, detention, charge, or arrest made against them."

AMENDMENT 01

First, the text of §2(3) which reads:

"5. No player can be Freedom from being made to produce self-incriminating evidence in a court of law, parliamentary hearing, subpoena, or impeachment trial."

Shall be replaced with the following text:

"5. No player can be made to produce self-incriminating evidence in a court of law, parliamentary hearing, subpoena, or impeachment trial. The right to remain silent and against self-incrimination. No player shall be compelled to provide testimony that could reasonably incriminate them in any judicial, parliamentary, or impeachment proceeding. No player shall be penalized for invoking either right, nor shall any inference of guilt be made against them."

Then, the text of §2(3) which reads:

"13. Every player has The right to be informed of the reason for a subpoena, detention, charge, or arrest made against them."

Shall be replaced with the following text:

"13. Every player has The right to be informed of the nature and reason for a any subpoena, detention, charge, or arrest made against them."

AMENDMENT 02
Should the associated Motion to Amend pass, §2(1) and §2(2) shall be struck from the Constitutional Fixes Act (I), and all subsequent subsections shall be renumbered accordingly.
