Declarations for the May 2026 general election are open until May 22, 2026 at 5:30 PM UTC. After declarations close, voting will open for 72 hours.


Parties and electoral alliances seeking seats in Parliament must declare using the following format:

Please denote the party or alliance leader with a *. If declaring as an alliance, please list the parties comprising the alliance and link each party's MoIA registration thread.

The party or alliance declaration must be handed in by an individual authorized by said party or alliance. If no individuals are explicitly authorized, the indicated party or alliance leader is presumed to be authorized.


Independent candidates seeking a seat in Parliament must declare using the following format:

I, <name>, do hereby declare my candidacy in the May 2026 general election as an independent candidate.

To appear on the ballot, you must also post a petition in this Discord thread, which must receive 5 :aye: emote reactions.
You do not need to submit a party list or MoIA registration thread link.


Complete Declarations
Declarations must contain all of the elements required under §5 of the Alexandrian Electoral Act in order for the party, alliance, or candidate to appear on the ballot.
Parties and alliances may not sponsor more candidates than there are seats in contention (in this election, 11).
Contenders may edit their submissions at any point before the closing of declarations.


Eligibility Requirements
Voter and candidate eligibility requirements are set forth in §17 of the Alexandrian Electoral Act.

To be eligible to vote, an individual must:
  • Be a citizen with a valid passport
  • Have at least 4 hours of playtime in the past 30 days
To be eligible to run for office, an individual must:
  • Be a citizen with a valid passport
  • Have at least 4 hours of playtime in the past 30 days and have logged in within the past 7 days
  • Not be legally barred from serving in Parliament
Voter eligibility requirements will be assessed at the time of voting.
Candidate eligibility requirements will be assessed at the closing of the declaration period. Ineligible candidates sponsored by a party or alliance will be removed from their party or alliance's list. Ineligible independent candidates will not appear on the ballot.
